Roar! Stomp! Hiss! The sounds of animals filled the halls of Baroody Camps this week during our Animal Planet themed week. Our 2nd to last week of camp was capped off with a visit from Glen Echo Aquarium. We hosted several sea creatures (sharks, crabs, and more) and campers were able to get up close and touch them. Field Trip campers were out and about in the D.C. area visiting locations like; Burke Lake Park, Air and Space Museum, Pinstripes Bowling, Water Mine Swimmin' Hole, and the Natural History Museum!
The magic of Harry Potter filled the world of Baroody Camps this week with our largest and most popular camp of the summer. Campers were sorted into houses and spent the week learning all about what life would have been like if they lived at Hogwarts.
We also hosted a Movie Making camp with some of our older campers.
The spirit of the Olympics filled the air at Baroody Camps! Campers celebrated their own versions of various Olympic events and celebrated the spirit of unity that is represented by the Olympic rings. Campers enjoyed another exciting week of Dance Camp with 5-6-7-8 Instructors and Basketball Camp with Coach Ruck!
Baroody Camps was full of silliness, fun, and even a few Minions this past week. It was our first week of hosting Music Camp and Science Magic camp. Our campers enjoyed the sounds of drums echoing through the hallways and a magic show that ended the week. Other campers played basketball and football at our popular Sports Camps.
"Eureka! I've discovered something new" said many campers this week as they developed and created their own inventions. Other campers spent the week hanging out with their friends and several of the famous American Girl Dolls. Our older campers hit up a Nationals Game and the trampoline park! We also had campers who created their own Minecraft worlds or joined us for Sports Camp.
Roar! Dribble! Bounce! That's the sound of campers stomping through the land of the dinosaurs at Baroody's theme camp. Other campers spent their week learning from Coach Miguel and Alex at basketball camp, while others spent time with our dance and gymnastics teachers!
This week at Baroody Camps campers we extended our celebration of the Fourth of July throughout the week. We hosted another week of Lego Engineering, Basketball, and Field Trip camps. The Field Trip campers even saw a famous celebrity while out on their trip!
This week at Baroody Camps campers discovered what it might be like to live as a spy at our Spy Kids theme camp. We hosted our first Lego Engineering and Jedi Engineering camp through our partners at Play-Well TEKnologies. 1st and 2nd graders got to work on their basketball skills with Coach Miguel!
Baroody Camps was full of globe-trotting adventurers! Younger campers learned about a variety of countries all over the globe. Older campers took to the "high seas" of the Potomac, Great Falls, and Great Waves Water Park!
